“(The righteous are those) who feed the poor, the orphan and the captive for the love of God, saying: ‘We feed you for the sake of God Alone; we seek from you neither reward nor thanks.’” (Quran, 76:8-9)

The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was once asked by his Companions: “O Prophet of Allah! What is this Qurbani?” He replied, “It is the Sunnah of your father Ibrahim (AS).” (Hadith – Ibn Majah)

Qurbani is a significant time for both the giver and the receiver, holding immense importance in Islam. It is mandatory for those who are able to perform Qurbani, offering an opportunity for those unable to afford meat throughout the year to enjoy this provision with their families. This practice, a Sunnah, is observed by Muslims worldwide, involving the sacrifice of a sheep, goat, cow, or camel. The sacrifice occurs during the month of Dhul Hijjah, coinciding with the Hajj pilgrimage and marking the final month of the Islamic calendar. The rewards for the giver are substantial, with the Prophet SAW expressing numerous blessings for this act, making it a cherished aspiration for all Muslims to fulfil during Dhul Hijjah.

At Anwaar-ul Mustafaa Trust, we make it our mission to conduct Qurbani in the most impoverished areas of Bangladesh. Alhamdulillah, we distribute Qurbani meat on behalf of our generous donors to those in dire need.

This act not only fulfils religious obligations but also ensures that the most vulnerable individuals have the opportunity to partake in this sacred ritual, allowing them to experience the joy and blessings associated with Qurbani.
